Job Description:
Recruitment: Actively recruits youth groups to attend Carolina Cross Connection.
Compiles and maintains lists of potential groups for sending registration and informational materials.
Works to retain “veteran” CCC churches, while attracting new churches and denominations.

Develops and supervises a recruiting network of CCC Board members, staff alumni, youth pastors, others who are willing and qualified to help recruit. Develops standard recruitment strategy and resources.

Designs, updates, and maintains promotional materials for church groups including, but not limited to, brochures, promotional videos, the CCC website, and other literature/media.


Camper Preparation and Participation: Primary liaison to group contacts, processing forms and applications, and providing useful information and preparatory materials.

Oversees camp capacities, and assigns groups to camp weeks and camps.

Oversees the creation and continuing improvement of a system to prepare groups who will attend CCC, setting forth a clear understanding of rules, requirements, and what to expect. Camper preparation should include the creation of appropriate literature (i.e. Camper Preparation Manual), and may be expanded to other opportunities such as weekend training events for registered campers.


Summer Program Operations: Works closely with administration to ensure a quality ministry program is conducted for volunteers and for the homeowners served.

Evaluates the quality of all summer operations, including Staff Training, worksites, in-camp programming, and safety.
Carries chief administrative responsibility to coordinate staff training.

Visits camps and staffs often to ensure their needs are fulfilled, and that they can concentrate on the ministry at hand.

Serves as the first contact for all staff persons with any questions, or potential problems – and take the lead in answering questions, and solving problems.

Develop, advertise, and support programs for participating groups to "take the next step" in their own communities (e.g. contacting local agencies such DSS, planning off-season work days, and other year-round mission opportunities).


Property: Oversees safe storage, inventory, maintenance, upkeep, and dispersal of all CCC property including CCC-owned tools and vehicles.

Ensures vehicles are properly registered, inspected and insured, and that all vehicles are in optimal operating condition.

Ensures that all camps are up to safe standards and suitable function for the CCC program. Maintains positive relationships with camp caretakers.

Researches new camp facilities and assesses the needs of other communities.


Other

Compiles resources for staff, including project how-to’s, devotional materials, small group topics, worship ideas, etc.

Develops CCC’s resources such that they may be given to groups or other ministries to facilitate further ministry.

Sets up and maintains office computers, networks, and regular hard drive backups.

Fulfills other tasks as deemed necessary by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
